No makers marks. Nice and clean as seen in photos, ready to use or display. This is a great example of an early log holder to be from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
Look at the very fine detail. No chips or missing pieces. Please see pics for condition. The holder is solid otherwise and should have much use remaining.
One tiny crack in only one of the Grate shaft pieces it is a very fine line and it is hard to see, I almost missed it. The holder has been painted with 1200 degree paint and looks beautiful. This is a wonderful antique fireplace log holder made from cast iron.
It has a swinging trap door on the bottom for ash removal. The holder measures 20 l x 10 w x.
